Currently, Noun is only available in the United States. We are working on expanding to more regions soon.

How does the real-time notification system work?
Once a transaction is arranged, you will receive real-time updates about the buyer or seller’s arrival status. This ensures that both parties stay informed and reduces wait times or uncertainty.
Can I buy or sell with emojis on Noun?
Yes! You can browse or create listings using emojis, which is a fun and fast way to find or post items. Traditional text search is also available if you prefer.
How do I join local chatrooms?
You can join chatrooms based on your interests, location, or community type. Some chatrooms are open to all, while others require verification through a school or workplace email for added security.
What are Tailored Recommendations?
Our system provides personalized suggestions based on your interests and location. You’ll receive recommendations for items and services in your area, ensuring you never miss out on deals or events.
Can I negotiate prices?
Yes! Noun allows you to either buy items instantly or make offers to negotiate prices with the seller. It’s flexible and adapts to your buying or selling preferences.

How does Noun ensure safe meetups?
Noun prioritizes your safety. With real-time updates and our Beacon feature, you can coordinate meetups confidently without revealing personal information. We also suggest meeting in public places for additional security.
Is Noun anonymous?
Yes, Noun is designed to protect your identity. You can interact, buy, and sell while keeping your personal details private. The only information visible to others is what you choose to share.
How does the user rating system work?
After a transaction, users can leave ratings and feedback for one another. This helps build trust within the community, allowing you to make informed decisions before interacting with others.
Account & Access
How do I create an account on Noun?
Simply download the app, sign up with your email or phone number, and follow the prompts. Be sure to reserve your username early to secure your spot in your city.
What do I do if I forget my password?
Noun doesn’t use traditional passwords. You will log in using a one-time password (OTP) sent to your phone or email. As long as you have access to your phone or email, you’re fine.
Can I change my username?
You can change your username, but each person is allowed only one username at a time, as per our Terms of Service.
How do I join the waitlist?
You can join the waitlist by downloading the Noun app and signing up. Once your city is live, we’ll notify you so you can start using Noun.
Transactions
How do I buy an item on Noun?
Browse items via emoji or text search, select what you're interested in, and either choose to “Buy Now” or make an offer. You’ll receive real-time notifications once the seller responds or accepts your offer.
How do I sell an item on Noun?
To sell an item, tap on the "Create Listing" button, add photos or emojis, write a description, and set a price. You can also choose to accept offers if you want more flexibility.
Can I arrange delivery or pickup?
Yes. Noun supports both pickup and delivery options, depending on your preference and location. Once agreed upon, you’ll receive notifications throughout the process to keep you updated.
What happens if a transaction goes wrong?
If you have any issues during a transaction, you can report the problem through our in-app support system. Our team will review the situation and assist with resolving the issue.
Community Engagement
How do I connect with my community on Noun?
Noun allows you to join local chatrooms based on your interests or location. You can also connect with your school or workplace through email-verified communities, ensuring safe and relevant interactions.
Can I post about local events or services?
Yes! You can post or subscribe to local broadcasts about events, services, or other activities happening in your area. It’s a great way to stay connected to your community.
Are there rules for using Noun’s chatrooms?
Yes. We expect all users to engage respectfully and responsibly. Harassment, spam, and inappropriate content are strictly prohibited, and users can report violations directly within the app.

Does Noun share my data?
No, Noun does not sell or share your personal data. We take privacy seriously and only use your information to provide and improve our services. You control what you share with other users.
How do I delete my account?
If you wish to delete your account, go to the Account Settings section within the app, and follow the prompts to permanently remove your profile and data.
Can I manage notifications?
Yes, you can customize your notification preferences within the app to suit your needs, including updates about transactions, messages, and broadcasts.
